Patrik Pastrnak

Dr Patrik Pastrnak is a postdoctoral researcher at Palacky University, Olomouc, Czech Republic. In January 2022, he finished DPhil in History at the New College, Oxford, where he was the recipient of the Robert Oresko Memorial Scholarship. He also holds a Master’s degree in Medieval Studies as well as History and Latin Philology. He specialises in royal weddings and wedding journeys in late medieval and early modern Europe, and more broadly he is interested in royal, court, and queenship studies, and Latin Humanism in Central Europe and Italy. His first monograph Dynasty in motion. Wedding journeys in late medieval and early modern Europe is currently in production with Routledge.
